Super Buff!
The act of giving birth does not signify the end of our Birth Doula / Client relationship. It continues on for at least the next couple of weeks until our post birth visit, and often, well beyond that, as some continue to maintain a friendship for life! In my most recent check up of a little family at the 1 week mark, where I congratulate them on their fist full week as a little family of 3 or 4 or however many, this was their response, as well as the attached photo! I was cracking up! I just do what I do and whatever it takes to help couples get through, without really realizing what it might look like from the outside. Shared memories and gut laughs, are also all part of the beautiful, intimate, triumphant and sometimes challenging moments of navigating the course of a labor with a couple...all par for the course!
We are all doing well! Thanks for checking in. Crazy how fast that first week went! We are in the thick of figuring out breastfeeding while attached to the Bili Blanket but other than that everything is going really smoothly. We are so in love with this little man and just keep praising Jesus for the amazing natural birth experience we had. Also we keep mentioning how super buff you are bc somehow you managed to simultaneously hold up my leg, wave peppermint under my nose and also shake my hips with a sheet for 3 hours straight! I’m in total awe you can do that! 💪🏻 I wish I would’ve opened my eyes long enough to actually see you do it!😂
